Sie wurde 1964 aus St. Johann ob Gurk mit ihrer gesamten Einrichtung ins Freilichtmuseum übertragen. Im Vorraum wurde ein Ochsenbeschlagstand, eine Leihgabe eines Schmiede- und Schlossermeisters aus Radenthein aufgestellt. Den eigentlichen Werkraum füllen die Schmiedeesse mit Fußblasebalg, Gewölbe und Kamin, ein mächtiger Amboss und zahlreiche Werkstücke aus. Den einfachen Bau schützt ein lärchenes, an der Wetterseite verstärktes Schindeldach.

It was transferred from St. Johann,Gurk to the open air museum. In the hall there was a fitting stand for cattle, a loan of a blacksmith from Radenthein. The actual workroom is filled with the smith’s hearth,the foot bellows, vault and fireplace, a massive anvil and numerous workpieces. The simple construction is protected by a roof of larches, bolstered up on the weather side.
